From the Minister

Australia's Minister for Foreign Affairs is the Hon Kevin Rudd MP.

ASIS is accountable to the Minister for Foreign Affairs. The Intelligence Services Act 2001 makes explicit the role of the Minister for Foreign Affairs in directing ASIS and authorising the conduct of specific activities, particularly those that may have an impact on Australians overseas.
