How do I know ASIS received my application?

Upon submission of your completed online application form, you will obtain an on-screen acknowledgment that your application has been successfully received by ASIS. Beyond this, you will only be contacted again if selected for progression to further stages of the recruitment progress.

Am I able to have feedback for my unsuccessful application?

Due to the number of applications received and important national security considerations we do not provide feedback.

When is the next recruitment intake and how will I know?

We accept Intelligence Officer applications all year round. Other positions with ASIS are advertised on an as-required basis.

How long will the selection process take?

The selection process incorporates extensive security and background checking which can take some time, depending on the individual and their personal history. As a rough guide, Intelligence Officer applications generally take around seven months from the date of application to the offer of employment, with the applications for Operation Officers, Technical Officers and Corporate Service Professionals taking between three and six months.
